Romantic Vacation Getaways

by: Matthew J. Way

The best romantic vacation, everybody wants it. And it seems as though there are more options and packages available than one could even begin to explore. But, should you go for a romantic weekend getaway “package”? It may seem like the easiest way to go about it, however, remember the big picture. You want it to be special.

If you have ever baked, say, a cake, you understand that most cakes have common ingredients yet in reality each one is unique from the others. The same thought is true of romantic getaways. You may not want to buy an “off the shelf” getaway package. Yet, if you are aware of a couple of effective ingredients and include them in your planning, you can construct the best romantic vacation that is just right for that special someone.

A Little Flower and “Sugar” Go a Long Way

That’s right! A cake isn’t the only beautiful, sweet outcome of mixing the right ingredients together. You can do the same thing with your getaway. The flower and the sweetness are the basic concepts. It’s your job to flavor it. What kind of flowers? What sweet ingredient should you add? The flavor is important, because each person has different tastes but one aspect that is a given is that the time be spent doing things together – just the two of you.

For example, let’s say you were planning a weekend getaway to Branson, MO. There is the Hummingbird Inn, a Branson Bed & Breakfast with room themes and even the option of including dinner with your stay. Simple, effective and romantic always works.

For activities you might want to spend a day on one of the three area lakes or take a sightseeing tour. Hiking and natural attractions are also popular points of interest with visitors to the area. Scenic trails, lookout towers, and tours in the air are all effective opportunities to spend time together and enjoy time alone.

Your romantic weekend or honeymoon need not be extravagant, only thoughtful and considerate. Flavor it with the always-romantic idea of being together and you will achieve the best outcome for a romantic getaway weekend.
